These silicon bronze handles were commissioned to
fit a pair of glass doors in Maryville USA where they would be seen
from both sides. This meant they needed to be made almost identical.
Since the bronze moves when hammered, carefully matching up was needed
as they were forged to shape.
The handles were given a deep lustrous polish to
enhance the natural beauty and tones of the bronze. However, care was
taken not to completely smooth away the natural texture arising
from forging and hammering them to shape.
Each handle displays an individuality and unique character whilst all
four handles still match and mirror each other.
