More than a hint of Charles Rennie Mackintosh went into the design of the garden trellises shown here.
They were also designed to be sculptural feature pieces in winter, a time many herbaceous climbers die back to leave any supporting trellises on show.
The almost inquisitive stance of the leaves in the first trellis suggests a youthful plant growing vigously in spring. The stylised leaves at the base of the trellis add to this effect.
