The design of this simple and elegant metal balustrade was inspired by the
sensuous and sweeping curves of the Art Nouveau period.
The feature newel post was forged so that it
tapers along its length, reducing the visual weight but maintaining strength where needed. Its fixings were hidden beneath the floorboards to emphasise the clean flowing lines of the
balustrade. The subtle tones and textures of the burnished and waxed finish complement the stripped floorboards.
