A Blacksmith Gas Forge

"... Verdigris; where engineering becomes art ..."

For production work, or to heat large objects, modern blacksmiths use a gas forge. This burns a mixture of propane and air in a combustion chamber of over two cubic feet. This reaches temperatures of over 1200C and its large size allows many pieces of work to be pre-heated whilst others are being forged. Little time is wasted waiting for work to heat up.
