This nature inspired handrail was commissioned as a functional piece of metalwork for a very steep path, and to make a statement.
Clusters of hand forged ferns and stylised leaves support the handrail lending it a delicate, elegant and sculptural appearance.
Its contemporary design blends and leans into the garden... both literally and metaphorically!
Instead of conventional and utilitarian joinery, the handrail
entwines the support posts, enhancing the organic and naturalistic feel of the work.
The finish is aged
galvanised
steel which gracefully weathers to a powdery mottled grey that resembles old lead, offering decades of protection against rust.
