This forged bronze sculpture by
David Hyde was inspired by the
texture of the rocks of the Jurassic Coast where he lives, and the abundance of fossils to be found in them.
Custom made hammers were used to create the deep rich and varied texture. Once shaped, the bronze was
patinated then gently polished to highlight and emphasise this texture.
