This pair of polished bronze torsos
is a continuation of the exploration of bronze casting by
David Hyde
(Verdigris's proprietor).
The figures were sculpted in clay by Catherine Seddon and a rubber mould was used to make wax copies of the torsos.
Limited edition bronzes were then made using the time honoured and traditional technique of lost wax casting or
cire perdue. Once cast, the bronze was
meticulously hand
polished.
