The unique geology of Dorset's Jurassic coast was the inspiration for the design of these weathered steel garden features. Their shape is suggestive of ammonite fossils, whilst their texture picks up on the complex, layered and sedimentary nature of the coast's rocks formations.

David shapes and works hot steel plate to fashion the bowls using custom made and specially textured hammers. Repeated hammer blows leave unique and expressive marks in the metal that build up to create a rich and varied rock like texture. The rusty weathered finish enhances and complements the bowls ancient geological inspiration.

Similar bowl forms with a burnished and waxed finish can be seen on this page, and polished stainless steel versions can be seen here.
